Earl Soham allotments

We came together as a group in 2009 with the aim of establishing allotments in our village.   The Allotments formally opened on the 7th June 2010 with 10.25 full size plots - some are divided into half and quarter plots and all are currently occupied.  The site is in the centre of the village and has pedestrian access only with on street parking adjacent.

We currently have a couple of vacant plots and would be pleased to attract new members. Preference will be given to Earl Soham residents.

2019 Work Party

posted 30 Apr 2019, 01:56 by Earl Soham Web Admin   [ updated 30 Apr 2019, 01:56 ]

We had our Spring Allotment Work Party on Sunday morning, followed by a shared lunch.   We had an excellent turnout and a great deal was achieved in two hours.   The allotment field now looks pretty tidy and ready for the coming growing season.

2017 Work Party

We had an excellent time on the allotment field this morning, firstly with a work party to tidy up communal areas and then to welcome the family of one of our founder members, Jean-Pierre Cardin.   We named his shed and planted a tree in permanent recognition of his energy and enthusiasm during our early years.

You will note there is less of the work and more of the eating and drinking, but isn't that what it is all about!
